The candy makes her dizzy. It makes her teeth ache, her hands tremble and causes her eyes to move hastily within their sockets. A rush from the sugar, even though she has only had a few pieces. She looks outside. The sun is up. It’s a little bit warmer today. A few more steps closer to spring.
She smiles.
